The original landscape was overwhelmed by slope and shade. Turf struggled, soil washed away, and the grade felt unsettled — more burden than backdrop.

Rather than fight the land, the redesign worked with its movement.

The slope was reimagined as a series of terraces — slowing water, yes, but more importantly creating rhythm and depth where there had been none. Levels were carved into the grade to introduce structure and pause. The land began to hold itself.

Selective canopy thinning opened the space to light, allowing the planting palette to establish with intention. Stone, lawn, and layered greenery now move together — guiding the eye upward, softening elevation changes, and framing the architecture without competing with it.

What was once erosion-prone and undefined is now composed and deliberate.

The function is quiet.
The experience is not.
